Leaves can be easily dismissed when left to rot on the ground, the winds of autumn having ushered in the cold, each tree stripped to skeletal limbs.  One particularly chilly morning I brought my camera along and shivered through a series of shots that mesmerized me with patterns in nature's forgotten foliage.  Replanting color into some of the images felt like playing God for a moment or two, conjuring back the beauty of each leaf at its most fertile moment.  Spring and Fall lurk around the corner - Winter's beauty should not be overlooked.
